About the Project

The redevelopment of 1-5 Grosvenor Place provides a unique opportunity to create a landmark building for Belgravia and the wider area within the City of Westminster.

The existing buildings will be demolished and the proposed scheme will comprise a Peninsula Hotel with 190 guest rooms and 24-28 residential apartments with ancillary residential leisure and amenity facilities. The hotel will also accommodate a number of retail units, restaurants and bars, a ballroom and a leisure/spa facility.

HSH is recognised as one of the world’s leading hotel owners and operators and currently has a portfolio of 10 hotels under the Peninsula brand in key global gateway cities across Asia, the United States and Europe.

The consultation on this scheme began in February 2015 and in July 2015 a planning application was submitted by One GP LLP (a joint venture between Grosvenor and The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited) for the redevelopment of 1-5 Grosvenor Place, Belgravia. In December 2015 Westminster City Council resolved to grant planning permission for this redevelopment.
